Sharing my advice on everything from interior design trends to construction and home maintenance guidance. I want you to love the home you live in!
Welcome to my blog!!! I’ve wanted to start this for as long as I can remember, but never made the jump. There are truly so many things you have to tackle before you can just up and launch a blog. First thing? Apparently you have to have a website for this type of thing… I tried to make a website on my own and while I wont say it was the worst website I’d ever seen, it wasn’t the best by any stretch of the imagination…. THANKFULLY I made internet friends with two of the most talented ladies over at Kinhouse Made who ended up making me this STUNNER of a website. I truly couldn’t ask for a better set up! They crushed it! Take a look around while you’re here!
I thought I’d start of with a round up of my favorite things from January – tangible and intangible.
January has been a great kick off to 2023. Patrick and I love to goal set and there’s no better time to set new goals than the start of a new year! It may be cliche, but I don’t really care! There’s nothing better than a new slate and a fresh start! We have decided our mantra for the year is “setting the foundation”. It’s really the beginning of a lot of new things for us and we are determined to create great processes and proceeders to set us up for a successful future. For me, this is going to be the year I pour a ton of energy into my business. Last year was technically the start of my business, but there were a lot of big things that held me back from really buckling down and focusing. For Patrick, he just started his own construction company! He has previously worked for his family’s company but decided to make the leap towards his own business. He has already landed a great project building 16 apartments and it’s breaking ground in the next few weeks! Together, we have decided to take a good hard look at our finances and budget hard this year! Like I said, last year was a cluster F*** and I honestly got into a good amount of debt. So we are starting our finance jounrey to undo what happened last year and set ourselves up for a successful future moving forward!
I look forward to sharing a lot more on here about design and construction advice, to personal home projects, some of my favorite finds and more! Have something you want to see on the blog? Comment below!
