Sharing my advice on everything from interior design trends to construction and home maintenance guidance. I want you to love the home you live in!
In the world of interior design, color isn’t just a choice; it’s a language that speaks volumes about your style, mood, and personality. And when it comes to evoking my connection with nature, green has always been a go-to choice.
I’m thrilled to take you on a colorful journey through my favorite green paint shades, accompanied by examples of some my most recent projects
Let’s uncover the magic of green and the way this versatile color brings harmony to our living spaces.
Whether you’re planning a complete home makeover or just looking to refresh a room, our guide will inspire you to harness the power of green and transform your space into a natural oasis.

While this color is called Light Blue, in certain lighting conditions, it gives off the best light shade of green. It’s a very calming choice for a bedroom or bathroom where cultivating a ‘vibe’ is the goal. We used it here in our Classen Hills project, an Airbnb getaway, to complement the feeling of escaping from the busy world and into a serene retreat.

Once again, we have a deceptively green paint whose name would tell you otherwise. As you may recall, we completed the Klein House as a spec home. This meant we were focused on creating something that would appeal to the masses in our market while still infusing it with charm and creativity. The pantry, being a small room, seemed like the perfect canvas for creativity. To add more character and create a moodier atmosphere, we painted the ceiling the same green. If this space lacked natural light, we might have chosen not to paint the ceiling green. However, since the window brought in so much light, it felt like the perfect choice.

Blackwelder Cottages was another spec build project. We frequently collaborate with developers who construct new homes for sale, aiming to make their properties stand out without exceeding the budget. Incorporating color into a home, in more subtle ways, is one of the best methods to achieve this. The powder bath was another compact space that was simply begging for a playful addition, and the green wainscoting did the job!
I hope you’ve found inspiration in the magic of this versatile hue. The allure of nature, captured within these shades, can transform your home into a retreat from the bustling world outside.
In the examples I’ve shared from some of my recent projects, you’ve witnessed how green can breathe life into different spaces, creating a unique ambiance in each. It’s a reminder that the right shade of green can evoke emotions, convey character, and express your personal connection to nature.
So, whether you’re embarking on a full-scale home transformation or simply looking to revitalize a single room, I encourage you to consider the enchanting palette of greens at your disposal. Each shade has its own story to tell and transform your space into a natural oasis.
